Blog Roll

Go ye into all the blogs and preach this gospel!

For those of you conservatives that have a decent knowledge of the bible, you'll recall what is refered to as the Day of Pentecost.  This is the day that God sent his Spirit to empower the followers of Jesus to preach the good news.  So Jesus spends three and a half years telling them how they are going to go into all the world and preach, once he went to heaven.  So, they all gathered around in the upper room, talking about what Jesus did and how he conquered death and suddenly God sends His spirit.  They have a spiritual pep rally and then they....keep meeting and sharing and praying.  What happened next?  God allowed great persecution to come their way which in turn, "drove them out into the surrounding areas".  In other words the message wasn't to be kept in a room of "believers", it was for those who didn't believe yet.
Townhall is a great blog....for conservatives and the like.  I frequent it often and always enjoy it and learn something.  Still, isn't it the non-conservatives, the democrats, the blue dogs that we want to convert?  How about all those that gave in to the appeal of Obama and voted him into office?  These are the ones who need to hear our message and see our passion.  Too many blogs are made up of liberals and those who just don't care what's going on.  These my friends are the very ones we need to reach and awaken!  Some of you have wonderful and powerful input here at Townhall, input that could help someone see the light and possible get involved.  In other words get out of this upper room once and awhile and get your message to the masses.  Stop preaching to the choir and enjoying the amen's your getting, role up your sleaves and go make your mark in the dungeons of side blogs and liberal infested ranthouses.
When you really look at it, the percentage of liberals in this country is suprisingly low.  We are largely a conservative nation.  The problem is that the power of the media and those willing to raise their voices are almost entirely liberal.  They dared to get into what was a conservative domain and take it over.  It doesn't matter if a hundred republicans are shouting in Texas if just one ultra liberal is the spotlight on a national news show.  We must become as emboldened as those fighting for gay rights and shutting down talk radio.  We are the voice of our founding fathers.  We must come out from the comfort of our arena's and blogs and turn the light of liberty on the darkness.
Townhall will survive without us once and awhile.  Go register on some obscure blog where you may not even get a comment, and start putting out the message that has been silenced for to long.  Go....into all the blogs and mediums and preach this message of freedom.  Declare to the masses that we will not concede to socialism and bigger government. Go......GO!!!!

Draw the line in the sand! Please.

Watching the America that I've known from my childhood slowly slip into oblivian, I can't help but become enraged.  I'm agrevated.  More than that, I'm at the point that I believe the early Amercians were, right before the Revolutionary War!  Not that we are moving to unleash ourselves from years of tyranny, but to prevent it.  What is wrong with our Republican Party?  Where's the backbone of the Republic that built this free land?  Why are we so passive and complacent?  Does anybody remember being taught about Benedict Arnold?  The guy who wanted to sell us out to England for his own profit.  Barack Obama is that American.  His philosophy of government is one that will move us BACK to the days of government rule and over taxation.  Yet, the republican party continues to move along gently, to afraid to say what needs to be said.
Without trying to sound racist in anyway, because I am not.  Being the father of an African American child, I hate the very thought of prejudice, but a point must be made.  If a caucasian male were to use the "N" word, there would be swift judgement placed against him.  He would be fired from any position of authority or place in the media.  Yet, if a black male uses the word, the reaction is alot different.  We have come to "allow" this demographic to use the term without the same level of consequence.  It is the same between the democrats and the republicans.  The democrats can scream deficit and yet quadruple it.  A republican mentions it and we are crucified.  The Dems can say so much to us and we "allow" them to get away with it.  Better yet, we allow them to do it and take a back seat ourselves when the opportunity arises for us.  John McCain as wonderful as he is, demonstrated this entirely during his campaign.  He was so worried about how he looked to liberals and democrats that he held back on so many important topics.  John was afraid of appearing extreme and cowarded (if it's appropriate to use that term for this great American) to the press.  When instead, as we see now, John McCain needed to draw that line in the sand and make a clear distinction between our parties.  Be an ingnorant fool if you want, but this is and always will be about partisanship.  The day it's not, is when the total majority have moved over to one side, or are pushed.  Those of us Americans who still believe in a Republican Government cannot be so consumed with being "correct" or "decent" that we lose our identity.  The Republican party needs to stop worrying about numbers or trying to win over Democrats in order to get elected into office.  So we lose a couple seats and have to put up with a president who trashes the country he leads for four years.  This cannot be a battle won with diplomacy.  Our future, our freedom and what our forefathers died for is to important to come down to feelings and images.
This world we live in is coming to the place where all things run gray.  The line between what is male and female, what is marriage and union, a lie and truth is dissolving into an indiscernable blur.  I had to grow up in a society that had taken prayer out of school because the adults of the time were to lazy to put up a fight.  Now, my children are watching our monuments and national treasures be removed and disgraced.  A time where being patriotic is considered extreme and service to the flag as domestic terrorism.  Will we wait until it's late to undue whats been done?  We cannot!
I want to see men and women taking office or running for office who are not intimated by the press.  I long for patriotic Americans who wear the flag on their shoulders and speak with a clear voice.  Sarah Palin gets the crap she gets because of the stance she takes on so many issues.  Her words are not minced. Though at times they seem harsh, they are the words the very rocks of this country would scream if given the chance.  We are against big governement, higher taxes, terrorism and governmental rule in our lives.  We believe that this country was founded on principles and morals that must upheld.  We do not think ourselves so arrogant to look back on our history with disdain as we move our nation into a socialistic society.  Yes we are for peace in this world, and fellowship with our neighbors around the globe; but not at the expense of what we've fought for.
It's time to draw that line in the sand.  Who cares what those who are against us think.  We must hold our ground and speak our minds, just like they do.  When we take over seats in the senate and hopefully get back in the white house, we must learn from those on the other side of the isle and use our time wisely.  Get American history back in the schools.  Grab hold of the internet and media to herald our message.  Republicans need to be as hell bent on getting the truth out about global warming as Gore is about twisting it into govermental control.  Conservative doesn't have to be the define they way we deliver our message. We can be decent, educated, God fearing indivuals without being weak or timid.
Stop calling this a grassroots movement.  This is a movement that started over 200 years ago and a fight that will continue until the day this country is no more!

Fast Times at Obama high!

It seems like just yesterday Obama and Hilary were duking it out for the chance to be president of the United States.  The two of them flinging insults and criticism over past achievements and public service.  Obama especially focusing on Mrs. Clinton's foreign policy experience and her claim of being better suited for that particular side of the presidency. Then to all of our amazament the new president elect chooses her for Secretary of State.  Then you have Pelosi off having meetings with the Big 3 Automakers before Obama has a chance too, a republican who ran both the Afhgan and Iraq wars keeping his post, a slew of 'old' Clinton folk regaining positions and the President Elect telling us things are going to get worse before they get better.  Suddenly the White House and the new administration are looking like Fast Times at Ridgemont High.  With all that effort by Obama to be president of the United States you'd think he would be appointing people with less baggage and less of a chance to challenge his leadership style.  I'm not sure if Barack has some brilliant plan going or maybe this is just some slick agenda to keep himself looking good.  Put the people you can't stand in positions where they are doomed to have issues and you not only ruin there chances in the next election but they become your scapegoat when things don't get better.  It's like, "ok Hilary, here have at it and show us just how good you would have been with foreign relations as president", if you fail it'll just give me ammunition in the next election and I can ask the people to give me another shot at it my way".  At times I'm caught between Obama being a closet mafia leader to being an immature over confident fool who just got handed the most important position in the world. Either way the government seems disheveld and out of control at the moment.  Hopefully it'll find it's own rythim and the new President will take the lead like he is supposed too.  Maybe those in new positions will work so hard at proving themselves that things will actually get better.  Who knows, this new kid on the block may just have things figured out after all and a new day is dawning for America.  Still, I can't seem to get that picture out of my mind of the moving truck pulling up to the White House, smoke pouring out the back door as the new President and his band of odd balls stare in amazament at their new address....."woo dude, this is awesome, totally awesome".

Mr. Obama grow up, please!

One of the things that I like about George W. Bush is that he isn't prone to acting while in the office of president.  In fact most of the jokes and criticisms directed towards him are due to this very fact.  How many times during his two terms in office have we watched a montage of his linguistic struggles on YouTube?  The main stream media made this an issue when they constantly pointed out the differences between Obama and Bush.  Obama is 'a great orator' or 'he has class' and 'looks presidential'.  Which is great if your running for the major role in an upcoming film, but not for the actual office of president.  Bush with all of his verbal blunders is simply being himself.  He is being true to his own identity.  Obama on the other hand seems to be playing roles.
Take for instance this stupid, ridiculous use of the "office of the president elect".  When was the last time you watched the president elect give press conferences so often, wait.....no instead when was the last time you watched the president elect even give a press conference?  See Barack Obama is showing his immaturity here.  Barack stands in front of the country, looking presidential at his first press conference following the election and states that there is only one president at a time.  He stated that he wanted to respect the president and work to make a smooth transition.  Course he did this with his oversized plaque in front of the podium which reads, "office of the president elect".  This would have been very honorable if it was the last such conferecne before being sworn in, but it wasn't.  He continues to stand behind that podium, now with american flags in the background and give his two sense on current affairs.  Where then is the respect to the current president?  Does this not imply that our current administration doesn't matter anymore to the american public?  What about to the rest of the world?  Mr. Obama is crossing the line here as well as revealing his inability to keep his word.
This week Obama was interviewed by Barbara Walters in which he talks about how he will do his best to not give up his Blackberry.  It seems this notion of isolation as president doesn't sit well with the president elect.  One article stated that Obama wants to do something about the 'bubble' that the president is put in while in office.   Is this because he's afraid that his often conversations with Ayers or Wright will not go unnoticed?  Or is he planning on being an open president for the people?  It is moments like this that make me concerned that he is too immature when it comes to this much power.  We cannot afford in this day and age for a president who does not take seriously the job of being discreet and even secret as president of the United States of America.  It rings of his arrogance and ridiculous ideas of changing the presidential seal or removing the bowling alley in the white house.  This is not a game, a tv show or a popularity contest Mr. Obama, this is the highest office in the world and yes you will follow the rules like the rest of us.
It is a shame that we are having to be reminded that Obama is not yet the president following his press meetings and a shame that so much attention is given to him while a president sits in office.  Still, this is what happens when you don't have true identity.  Barack Obama is still trying to find himself because he doesn't have a history of being in an executive position.  As Biden feared, it has come true; Obama is getting on the job training as president elect.  He's green, he's immature and I fear he will be defined by those around him.  I hate to say it but I must....Mr. President elect, grow up and grow up quick!

Pregnant Man? NO! Pregnant Woman.

It is amazing to me just how far we've come....no scratch that, I mean how far we've fallen from intelligence here in the twenty first century.  We are surrounded by amazing technology and continuous scientific achievements; artificial hearts, corrective lens surgery, all kind of transplants, new medicines for almost every type of condition and yet in the midst of it all, we are still making ridiculous assertions; A pregnant man!   That's right an amazing feet, possibly the most advanced proof that man is evolving to come down the pike.  Newspapers printed the headline, Oprah presents him to the world and this week the experienced journalist Barbara Walters holds a special to help us all relish in this amazing happening.  A man is pregnant.  How can it be?  What will the church say now, there goes all that business of absolutes and a divine creator.  Man is evolving just like Darwin said; or is he?
Another great scientific advancement was the discovery of DNA.  DNA is man's genetic code.  It let's a scientist now almost everything there is to know about a human beings physiological make up, from hair color, eye color and more importantly, gender.  Yep, you can dress like a man, grow a beard from testosterone injections, have your breasts removed and yet your DNA, your genetic code will reveal you to be a female.  It is the one part of your physical make up you cannot change.  Thomas Beatie is not a man, he, no she is a woman.  This is not in anyway trying to judge her falsely, or be prejudice or even force on her some kind of undeserved burden.  Thomas is a woman by all scientific accounts.  Her DNA reads female and except for now removed breasts, she has all of her original female reproductive parts.  This is how 'he' conceived a child the first time and is now pregnant with her second.  In an age when science in so many ways forces people to move away from foolish thinking and old wives tales, it's important that we get this right; this is just another pregnant woman.  Thomas, as she likes to be called now is simply following the natural course of human beings.  This is not some miracle, or more important to the cause of evolution, a living example of evolving man.  Journalist and the media who present it as anything else are simply being unfair to the public.
My frustration comes from my eight year old daughters question following a commercial for Barbara Walters special, "dad how can a man have a baby"?  To which I replied, "sweety, they can't. That is not a man that is woman who grows hair and dresses like a man".  For alot of people trying to embrace and deal with a growing homosexual community that might have seemed blunt, but it's not, it is the truth.  It is not subjective but objective.  For Thomas, there may be a legitimate struggle with identity, but we cannot allow ourselves to present something to the world that is false.  Thomas is a woman who is enjoying the miracle of childbirth.  The state may have allowed her to change her birth certificate to male but she is still a female.  The surgeons may have removed her breasts and testosterone injections may have given her the physical appearance of male, but she is still a woman with a womb.  Sorry Oprah, sorry Mrs. Walters but nothing special here....maybe something a little odd, but outside of the miracle of a newborn baby, life is going on as usual.  It's this kind of mentality that has allowed our nation to ignore the record, associations and experience of Barack Obama to the point that we actually voted him into the highest office in the world.  My friends things are not as they always appear, which is why we need to take our time and look at the facts and follow the scientific formula. A man pregnant? No, just a nation trying to make someone into something they're not.

A new administration with new concerns

This month I'm turning 41, having been around through the administrations of Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton and W. Bush I cannot remember a time when I felt that the America as I knew it was about to change drastically.  Since those conscious moments when I was actually aware of the president elect, I never once felt, well.....fear of a new administration.  If there was an implication that big changes were coming, it was understood that it would take time. You know it's got to go through congress first and then to the President and back to congress.  They would debate it, delay it and maybe even forget about it.  Not so now, congress is looking more and more like a band of horney teenagers finally getting their chance to satisfy their longings.  Since the announcement of Obama's election victory Pelosi and the like suddenly want to get back to business.  Which concerns me as an American citizen on the conservative side of politics.
Usually I would brush off the dust of defeat from an election and get behind the new leader.  Looking forward in hope that things would be alright.  Clinton is one of those times when even though it was a democrat in office, he kind of just coasted through without ruffling to many feathers.  I wasn't fearful that he was going to change the Constitution or push us into Socialism.  His contacts were of a softer nature and only threatened Hilary.  Not so with the President elect Barack Obama.  With him we have no idea what to expect.  Some say he'll move more center and work more like a moderate.  Others think he's holding back until January to really let the cat out of the bag on us all.  I wan't to believe the best.  I wan't to get behind him and respect him.  I wan't to put to rest alot of the concerns that I have but what I'm seeing on the horizon is prohibiting me.  Is the fairness doctrine really going to become a reality?  Are the feds going to continue to buy up American companies under the guise of 'bail out'? Will the supreme court be filled with judges who have no hesitance to alter the constitution?  By the next election will it be illegal to say anything negative about your opponent?  These are issues we have never had to deal with in such a large scale since the Declaration of Independence.
Last night CNN did a report that made the conservatives look like Bill Ayers and the underground in the sixties. Rick Sanchez stated  "the Secret Service has now confirmed that threats against Barack Obama spiked when Sarah Palin began impugning his patriotism."  Talking about hostilities and even murder against a teenage immigrant Sanchez and his co-host implied that "[w]hen people go out on the airwaves or in print or at the stump as a politician, and they beat that drum, they shouldn’t be surprised. At the end of the day, many people out there, and particularly young people, who are very impressionable, think, ‘Hey, you know what? This is one group we can do this to..."[t]he question that’s already being raised by activist groups in the newspapers is whether anti-immigrant rhetoric has created a climate for this kind of thing." So now conservatives are dangerous?  Bill Ayers gets to walk peacefully into a voting center to cast his vote, but honest, patriotic, flag flying conservatives are now the leaders of hate and murder?
Well, for now George W. Bush is our president and I continue to stand behind him.  During the next month and a half I'll be looking for Barack Obama to give me signs that he will govern, not 'rule', with integrity and maturity. The world at this moment is churning and I think it is a sure sign that even those outside of our borders are in the dark on what to expect.  So, I wait.  I wait and I pray that this great country that I love will not become something I cannot recognize.

Chris Matthews and the Media trying to change GOP

When Chris Matthews stated that he was going to work hard for the Obama presidency he wasn't lying.  It's appears that the main stream media is not done with this election.  In fact, I think they've caught onto the realization of just how effective they were in helping to drive popular opinion accross the nation and world.  Just a few glimpses of the headlines from different interent sites today proves that there 'work' continues on.  On the edition of Hardball Chris Mathews attacks Gov. Palin on her usuage of 'God' when trying to communicate her view on running in 2012.  He states,

"I mean, seriously, I mean God is telling her to run? And she's saying it openly on a secular television show? This isn't the religious hour....Talking about God, in a political setting is troubling to a lot of people. If you're talking about a big tent, this looks more like the church tent, not the big tent. ",

and adds,

"I'm not talking about faith, I'm talking about using it politically and talking about it this way, as if that's a determinant. You know we've, "God is on our side," kind of talk is very dangerous in the world because a lot of our enemies talk like that. And I think it's just a dangerous way to talk."

So Chris is basically trying to imply that a good change for the GOP would be to stop talking about or making reference to God.  He says in the program that he doesn't have any problem with praying cause he "prays all the time", it's just the idea of letting other people in the secular world know about it.

Then over on CNN, Rick Sanchez tries his hand at helping us win in the future by asking south carolina Mark Sanford,

"...[L]et me ask you a very specific question then -- do you need to continue to stand for abortion, do you need -- or abortion rights or do you have to -- let me rephrase that. Do you have to be anti-abortion, because that's a very important, big topic in the South, as is, you know, some of the other amendments for gay rights, for example? Those are two big issues in that area...".

Well Rick, maybe what we should do is simply let all of you in the mainstream media do an extreme makeover and tell us what kind of party we should be.

This is the threat that the conservative party faces in this hour.  We cannot allow the media to influence us to move away from our core beliefs.  Beliefs that line up with the founding fathers, the Constitution and our national history.  Yes we will use the term God and will not be ashamed to mention that at times, we seek divine wisdom, no different than George Washington or Lincoln.  Is abortion still a necessary topic for our campaigns?  Yes it is and so are the issues surrounding Gay rights.  Don't forget that the President elect has no experience to date in an executive position.  He has not been tested and tried, nor has he amassed any record to let us know even in a small way how he will govern.  This campaign was one of hype and speaches covered by a media hung up on the class instead of the facts.  So go gush over your product and leave us conservatives alone.

Liberals change with the people like they have always done for votes, and in this case they got them.  The problem is at the end of the day people look for results.  They look for stability.  The conservative party is that stability and we will keep our eye on the ball set rolling by the likes of Washington, Adams and Jefferson a few hundred years ago.  We believe in the Constitution and it's positive liberties.  We believe it is good to trust in God and fight for the life of the unborn.  No, Mr. Matthews and Mr. Sanchez we don't care what you think.

My conservative and republican friends, we cannot at this hour allow the media to cause us to bend and morph into something we are not.  We have had eight years and it's time to re-group and get ready for our next chance, cause it is coming.

Al Gore is at it again!

Okay Al Gore is offically lost it!  Let me proceed this by announcing that in this mornings online news the Climate association said that temperatures Nationwide (US) are LOWER than the normal average, LOWER Mr. Gore.  I mean with all of his contacts you would think he could get some current information.  There are places in the world that are seeing snow for the first time in decades.  Which to most laymen would mean that the idea of Global warming is not holding its own.  I'm pretty sure also being in science myself that this experience would be the objective data needed to concur that, at least at this point, we are not spiraling out of control into a furnace of fire caused by the veil of the ozone being sucked out into space.

Yet Mr. Gore places an OpEd in the NY Times where he states, "we — must make this January to begin an emergency rescue of human civilization from the imminent and rapidly growing threat posed by the climate crisis".  He goes on to state, "To those who are still tempted to dismiss the increasingly urgent alarms from scientists around the world, ignore the melting of the north polar ice cap and all of the other apocalyptic warnings from the planet itself, and who roll their eyes at the very mention of this existential threat to the future of the human species, please wake up. Our children and grandchildren need you to hear and recognize the truth of our situation, before it is too late".  Ok and they say conservatives are fatalistic?!  Is this guy not aloud outside or something?  Have they taken away his weather channel?  I mean watch the news Al it's colder this year than those recently past.  Snow is falling back in places where its not been for several years.  Maybe the problem is that the host of scientist you have gathered are....I don't know....WRONG!  I could assemble a decent amount of very qualified scientist myself that are opposed to the notion of Global warming.  Still, this article to me shouts of that odd cook on the corner with signage that reads, "THE END IS HERE!" only we know, IT'S NOT!  It's embarrasing to me to think that this man was in the White house at one point.

What's important to note about the rest of his article is that it goes into a plan for correcting the financial situation in America and the world.  Almost like Al thinks that since so many have listened to him about the climate stuff that he's now qualified to give advice on other pressing issues.  The article sounds more like a listener calling in to give a shout out on a radio program only to plug his own program instead.  Al, please calm down.  You had your time in polotics and you got people concerned about the enviornment but enough is enough.  We are not idiots and are not about to board some rocket to escape the "apocalyptic warnings" in order to "rescue human civilization".  In fact by the look of the weather map and information from other qualified scientist the only thing heating up here is the air coming out of your mouth. Sit back and relax cause what I've heard is that Obama is going to fix everything...lol.
