Mr. Obama grow up, please!

One of the things that I like about George W. Bush is that he isn't prone to acting while in the office of president.  In fact most of the jokes and criticisms directed towards him are due to this very fact.  How many times during his two terms in office have we watched a montage of his linguistic struggles on YouTube?  The main stream media made this an issue when they constantly pointed out the differences between Obama and Bush.  Obama is 'a great orator' or 'he has class' and 'looks presidential'.  Which is great if your running for the major role in an upcoming film, but not for the actual office of president.  Bush with all of his verbal blunders is simply being himself.  He is being true to his own identity.  Obama on the other hand seems to be playing roles.
Take for instance this stupid, ridiculous use of the "office of the president elect".  When was the last time you watched the president elect give press conferences so often, wait.....no instead when was the last time you watched the president elect even give a press conference?  See Barack Obama is showing his immaturity here.  Barack stands in front of the country, looking presidential at his first press conference following the election and states that there is only one president at a time.  He stated that he wanted to respect the president and work to make a smooth transition.  Course he did this with his oversized plaque in front of the podium which reads, "office of the president elect".  This would have been very honorable if it was the last such conferecne before being sworn in, but it wasn't.  He continues to stand behind that podium, now with american flags in the background and give his two sense on current affairs.  Where then is the respect to the current president?  Does this not imply that our current administration doesn't matter anymore to the american public?  What about to the rest of the world?  Mr. Obama is crossing the line here as well as revealing his inability to keep his word.
This week Obama was interviewed by Barbara Walters in which he talks about how he will do his best to not give up his Blackberry.  It seems this notion of isolation as president doesn't sit well with the president elect.  One article stated that Obama wants to do something about the 'bubble' that the president is put in while in office.   Is this because he's afraid that his often conversations with Ayers or Wright will not go unnoticed?  Or is he planning on being an open president for the people?  It is moments like this that make me concerned that he is too immature when it comes to this much power.  We cannot afford in this day and age for a president who does not take seriously the job of being discreet and even secret as president of the United States of America.  It rings of his arrogance and ridiculous ideas of changing the presidential seal or removing the bowling alley in the white house.  This is not a game, a tv show or a popularity contest Mr. Obama, this is the highest office in the world and yes you will follow the rules like the rest of us.
It is a shame that we are having to be reminded that Obama is not yet the president following his press meetings and a shame that so much attention is given to him while a president sits in office.  Still, this is what happens when you don't have true identity.  Barack Obama is still trying to find himself because he doesn't have a history of being in an executive position.  As Biden feared, it has come true; Obama is getting on the job training as president elect.  He's green, he's immature and I fear he will be defined by those around him.  I hate to say it but I must....Mr. President elect, grow up and grow up quick!
